Water in diesel is one of the most problematic forms of contamination within a diesel fuel system. Water build up in the tank can lead to premature corrosion within the fuel tank, a reduction in the lubricity of the diesel and injector tips being blown off. Water in the tank also leads to the “diesel bug” forming. Bacteria lives in the water within the fuel tank, these bacteria feed on the diesel then die, leaving a black slime type substance within the fuel system.

Fortron Total Fuel Treatment is a highly advanced 3 in 1 fuel additive designed to remove water from fuel, act as a biocide to kill the “diesel bug” and clean the whole fuel system including injectors. Fortron Total Fuel is simply poured into the fuel tank absorbing the water and then passing through the fuel system cleaning as it goes. It will then pass through the injectors and get efficiently burnt off in the combustion process. Total fuel will then while mixed with the diesel in the combustion chamber, reduce the flash point by up to 7.0oC. This will then result in a “cleaner burn” reducing the coking up of the upper cylinder area and related components such as diesel powered heaters.
